Measurement of Physical Activity Self-Efficacy in Physical Activity-Promoting Interventions in Adults: A Systematic Review

Andre Bateman et al.

Summary: This review examines the theoretical and measurement quality of scales measuring physical activity self-efficacy in physical activity-promoting interventions. Different scales with varying properties were identified, and recommendations were made to improve the measurement of physical activity self-efficacy.

Improving Fit Indices in Structural Equation Modeling with Categorical Data

Victoria Savalei

Summary: Current computations of fit indices in structural equation modeling indicate that categorical data may lead to accepting poorly fitting models more frequently than continuous data. The article explains this issue and proposes alternative ways to compute fit indices with categorical data, showing that the new methods better match values with continuous data and perform well across various conditions.

Measurement of Physical Activity Self-Efficacy in Adults With Obesity: A Latent Variable Approach to Explore Dimensionality Temporal Invariance, and External Validity

Nicholas D. Myers et al.

Summary: The study aimed to improve the measurement of physical activity self-efficacy (PASE) in adults with obesity by exploring dimensionality, temporal invariance, and external validity through a two-dimensional factor structure and latent variable approach. Data analysis revealed potential direct effects of the Fun For Wellness intervention on PASE in adults with obesity.
