Increasing the efficiency of reduced graphene oxide obtained via high temperature electrospun calcination process for the electrochemical detection of dopamine

Neeraj Gupta et al.

Summary: In this study, rGO was obtained by thermal annealing of electrospun polymeric nanofiber membrane at 500 and 600 degrees C, showing good electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of dopamine. The XRD and FTIR analysis supported the successful fabrication of rGO with specific surface features. The electrochemical sensing of dopamine using rGO electrodes exhibited linear relationships with low detection limits, indicating the potential for quantitative analysis of dopamine.

Carbon aerogels derived from waste paper for pipette-tip solid-phase extraction of triazole fungicides in tomato, apple and pear

Haili Sun et al.

Summary: In this study, carbon aerogels were prepared by combining waste printing paper with graphene oxide and carboxylic multi-walled carbon nanotubes. The addition of graphene oxide reduced adsorption sites and extraction performance, while carbon nanotubes improved the pore structure of the carbon aerogels. The carbon aerogels were successfully used as adsorbents for solid-phase extraction of hexaconazole and diniconazole. The method showed potential for the determination of triazole fungicides.

A hybrid sorbent of α-iron oxide/reduced graphene oxide: Studies for adsorptive removal of tetracycline antibiotics

Shan-Juan Zou et al.

Summary: In this study, nanocomposites of alpha-Fe2O3 nanoparticles on reduced graphene oxide (RGO) were prepared using a one-pot method, showing high adsorption capacity for Tetracyclines antibiotics (TAs) and fitting well with Langmuir and pseudo-second-order equations. The relatively low adsorption of oxytetracycline was attributed to its weak interactions with RGO and slack complexation with alpha-Fe2O3.
