The practice of integrated healthcare and the experiences of people in Ghana's Ashanti region

Summary: This study examined the experiences of people with the integration of traditional medicine into the formal health system in Ashanti region, Ghana. The findings revealed that the unfamiliarity of service users with integrated facilities could hinder the practice of integrated healthcare. The study suggests raising public awareness through sensitization and regular evaluation of patient satisfaction and outcome measures to improve healthcare delivery.
