Effect of Mycorrhiza Fungi, Preceding Crops, Mineral and Bio Fertilizers on Maize Intercropping with Cowpea

Summary: This study investigated the effect of Arbuscular Mycorrhiza fungi and three preceding winter crops on maize intercropping with cowpea. The results showed that the Meskawy cultivar of Egyptian clover berseem was the best preceding crop and the treatment 75% NPK + arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi showed the highest values for both maize and cowpea.

Enhancement of Seawater Stress Tolerance in Barley by the Endophytic Fungus Aspergillus ochraceus

Summary: This study screened seven fungal endophytes and found that Aspergillus ochraceus showed great potential in salt tolerance and production of IAA, antioxidant capacity, and antifungal activity under seawater stress. Application of A. ochraceus alleviated the harmful effects of seawater on the growth and physiology of barley plants.
