Global palliative care research (2002-2020): bibliometric review and mapping analysis

Hammoda Abu-Odah et al.

Summary: This bibliometric review reveals a significant increase in the number of publications in the field of palliative care, with the USA and UK being the most productive countries. Weak collaborations were observed between low-income or middle-income countries and high-income countries. Cancer-related research dominates the focus of palliative care studies, calling for more research on non-cancer diseases and increased international cooperation for addressing global issues in palliative care.
