Cold Sintered LiMn2O4 for High-Rate Capability Electrodes

Khushnuda Nur et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates that cold sintering can effectively densify LiMn2O4 at lower temperatures, leading to improved discharge capacity and cycling stability without the need for post-annealing treatment. This is achieved through the removal/thinning of the insulating Li2CO3 layer.

Effect of LiOH solution additives on ionic conductivity of Li6.25Al0.25La3Zr2O12 electrolytes prepared by cold sintering

Junzhan Zhang et al.

Summary: Li7La3Zr2O12 has attracted much attention in solid-state batteries due to its excellent ionic conductivity, stable contact with lithium metal, and wide electrochemical window. In this study, Li6.25Al0.25La3Zr2O12 electrolytes were prepared using cold sintering and annealing, and the effects of liquid-phase medium and annealing temperatures on their phase compositions and ionic conductivities were investigated. The highest ionic conductivity was achieved with the addition of LiOH solution and annealing at 1000 degrees C.
