Design of a Diagnostic Immunoassay for Aflatoxin M1 Based on a Plant-Produced Antibody

Cristina Capodicasa et al.

Summary: A new green competitive ELISA method for the quantification of aflatoxin M1 in raw milk, based on plant-produced recombinant monoclonal antibodies, has been successfully developed. The method showed high accuracy within the decision levels required by EU legislation, with a detection limit of 3 ng/L and a quantification range of 5-110 ng/L.

Investigation of the Antigen Hook Effect in Lateral Flow Sandwich Immunoassay: The Case of Lumpy Skin Disease Virus Detection

Simone Cavalera et al.

Summary: A highly sensitive colorimetric LFIA for the point-of-need diagnosis of LSDV was developed using two monoclonal antibodies and gold nanoparticles. The optimized LFIA showed a low limit of detection, high repeatability, and specificity, making it a useful tool for LSD diagnosis in resource-limited settings.

Brief Report: Ritonavir Concentrations in Hair Predict Virologic Outcomes in HIV-Infected Adolescents With Virologic Failure on Atazanavir-Based or Ritonavir-Based Second-Line Treatment

Tariro D. Chawana et al.

Summary: Ritonavir concentrations in hair predicted virologic suppression and were associated with self-reported adherence and being male in adolescents with treatment failure to second-line ART. Assessing ritonavir concentrations in hair in adolescents on protease inhibitor-based regimens could help prevent subsequent virologic failure.
