Recovery of palladium using 1-cyanopropyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride based aqueous biphasic system combined with electrodeposition

Yun Deng et al.

Summary: We have developed a novel approach for palladium (Pd) recovery using the ionic liquid 1-cyanopyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([C(3)CNmim][Cl]) and potassium phosphate (K3PO4). The results showed that Pd extraction can reach 100% with a [C(3)CNmim][Cl]-based aqueous biphasic system. Pure palladium was obtained after electrodeposition and calcination. This method offers a more environmentally friendly and efficient way for Pd recovery on an industrial scale.

Synergistic leaching of heavy metal-polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon in co-contaminated soil by hydroxamate siderophore: Role of cation-π and chelation

Shengwei Yi et al.

Summary: The study found that using HDS produced by Pseudomonas fluorescens HMP01 can improve the bioleaching efficiency of HMs and PAHs in actual contaminated soils. HDS can enhance the leaching amount of HMs and PAHs through chelation and solubilization, and the residual HDS in soils poses minimal ecological risk.
