MHD electroosmotic peristaltic flow of Jeffrey nanofluid with slip conditions and chemical reaction

Maimona Rafiq et al.

Summary: This study investigates the peristaltic flow of Jeffrey nanofluid through a tapered asymmetric channel and examines the role of Jeffrey fluid in applications. The results show that the velocity exhibits a parabolic behavior near the center, and the tapering parameter has a significant influence on the velocity. Additionally, the study analyzes the effects of temperature and concentration, revealing a decrease in both variables as energy is utilized for digestion. The findings provide insights into electroosmotic phenomena in physiological systems and have promising applications in drug delivery and food diagnostics.

Thermal analysis of an Eyring-Powell fluid peristaltic transport in a rectangular duct with mass transfer

Arshad Riaz

Summary: This study presents an analytical relevance for the thermal analysis of biological transport in a noncircular horizontal 3D channel with Eyring-Powell fluid. By wave frame analysis, the steady format of the problem is considered and the resulting equations are analyzed by closed-form techniques. Different flow parameters are explored through velocity, pressure gradient, peristaltic pressure, temperature and mass distribution curves. The results show that heat and mass transfer is reduced for Eyring-Powell fluid compared to a Newtonian fluid, but is enhanced with the aspect ratio of the three-dimensional rectangular channel.

Effects of radiation and MHD on compressible Jeffrey fluid with peristalsis

A. A. Khan et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the MHD effect on compressible fluid and studies heat transfer with thermal radiation, also discussing peristaltic flow actuated by surface acoustic wave at microchannel boundaries. Perturbation method is used with amplitude ratio as parameter, and regular perturbation technique interprets the solution of velocity, temperature and pressure. Various developing parameters and their influence on perturbation function, mean axial velocity, flow rate and heat transfer are deliberated through graphical illustrations.

Summary: The study evaluates the heat transfer characteristics of water, Al2O3, and Al2O3/Cu nanofluids, analyzing the effects of Reynolds number, volume fraction, and nanoparticle composition on heat transfer properties. Hybrid nanofluids show superior thermophysical properties compared to single particle nanofluids and water, with increasing heat transfer coefficient, Nusselt number, and pressure drop with higher Reynolds number and volume fraction. Overall, 2.0% Al2O3/Cu with equal composition of nanoparticles presented the best heat transfer characteristics among all fluids.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of mixed convection, Hall current, and magnetic field on the peristaltic motion of Powell-Eyring nanofluid in a symmetric channel, considering factors such as viscous dissipation, thermal radiation, Brownian motion, and thermophoresis. Numerical solutions show that higher magnetic fields lead to an increase in temperature, while Hall effects exhibit the opposite trend.
