Summary: This study aims to develop and conduct a comprehensive CFD analysis of a state-of-the-art hydrogen generation unit, focusing on the impact of various operating conditions on hydrogen production rate and thermal efficiency. The results show that improving combustion characteristics and preventing local peak temperatures significantly enhance the performance of the steam methane reforming reactor.
