Grain Regrowth and Bifacial Passivation for High-Efficiency Wide-Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

Zhou Liu et al.

Summary: This study reports a grain regrowth and bifacial passivation strategy to reduce recombination losses in perovskite solar cells. By post-treating perovskite films, both grain boundaries and perovskite/charge transport layer interfaces can be passivated, resulting in increased efficiency of solar cells.

Coevaporation of Doped Inorganic Carrier-Selective Layers for High-Performance Inverted Planar Perovskite Solar Cells

Jiexuan Jiang et al.

Summary: In this study, doped inorganic carrier-selective layers were prepared using a dual-source electron-beam co-evaporation method, leading to improved conductivity and power conversion efficiency in perovskite solar cells. Furthermore, the insertion of a titanium buffer layer improved band alignment and long-term stability. The results demonstrate the potential of co-evaporated carrier-selective layers for large-scale applications.

Dual-Interface Modification of CsPbIBr2 Solar Cells with Improved Efficiency and Stability

Xiao Jiang et al.

Summary: This study reveals a synergistic effect of introducing an appropriate amount of CsBr on both sides of the perovskite active layer in enhancing the photovoltaic efficiency. By controlling interface modifications, the density of pinholes and trap states can be reduced, while smoother surface and better crystallinity can be promoted. This ultimately leads to an increased efficiency of 10.33% with a V-OC of 1.24 V, as well as high stability with 60% retention of initial efficiency after 60 hours of aging.

Ionic liquid-induced in situ deposition of perovskite quantum dot films with a photoluminescence quantum yield of over 85%

Qiugui Zeng et al.

Summary: The use of an ionic liquid in the in situ deposition of perovskite QD films has been shown to significantly improve the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) and stability of the films. The ionic liquid not only promotes the formation of QDs but also suppresses defect-related recombination, leading to a PLQY as high as 85.2% in CsPbBr3 QD films. This provides a promising strategy for enhancing the performance of perovskite QD films and advancing the development of efficient LEDs and other optoelectronic devices.

Polyacetylene derivatives in perovskite solar cells: from defect passivation to moisture endurance

Jiexuan Jiang et al.

Summary: Incorporating polyacetylene derivatives into the perovskite active layer of solar cells can improve their moisture stability and significantly enhance power conversion efficiency. The reduced trap-state density in the films due to efficient coordination between polymer carboxylate moieties and undercoordinated Pb2+ leads to improved device performance even after long-term aging.
