Introducing a pyrazolopyrimidine as a multi-tyrosine kinase inhibitor, using multi-QSAR and docking methods

Asrin Bahmani et al.

Summary: This study utilized multidimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) and docking modeling to investigate the interactions of compounds with different tyrosine kinase receptors. The results showed that the 1u compound could bind to the active sites of EGFR, PDGFRA, and VEGFR2, demonstrating potential anticancer activity.

Synthesis, anticancer activity, and β-lactoglobulin binding interactions of multitargeted kinase inhibitor sorafenib tosylate (SORt) using spectroscopic and molecular modelling approaches

Hamid Tanzadehpanah et al.

Summary: Sorafenib tosylate was synthesized and evaluated for its antiproliferative activities against HCT116 and CT26 cells. The drug showed potent cytotoxicity against both cell lines. Interaction studies revealed that the binding of Sorafenib tosylate with beta-lactoglobulin was mainly due to static quenching.

Global cancer statistics 2020: GLOBOCAN estimates of incidence and mortality worldwide for 36 cancers in 185 countries

Hyuna Sung et al.

Summary: The global cancer burden in 2020 saw an estimated 19.3 million new cancer cases and almost 10.0 million cancer deaths. Female breast cancer surpassed lung cancer as the most commonly diagnosed cancer, while lung cancer remained the leading cause of cancer death. These trends are expected to rise in 2040, with transitioning countries experiencing a larger increase compared to transitioned countries due to demographic changes and risk factors associated with globalization and a growing economy. Efforts to improve cancer prevention measures and provision of cancer care in transitioning countries will be crucial for global cancer control.

Biomarkers in Immunotherapy-Based Precision Treatments of Digestive System Tumors

Zhu Zeng et al.

Summary: Immunotherapy has shown promising efficacy in digestive system tumors, but identifying responders and non-responders remains a challenge. PD-L1 expression, though a potential biomarker, is not sufficient for differentiation. Other molecules like TMB, MSI, and ctDNA are being explored for their predictive value in immunotherapy outcomes.

The Impact of NOTCH Pathway Alteration on Tumor Microenvironment and Clinical Survival of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors in NSCLC

Xiaohua Li et al.

Summary: High-mutated NOTCH signaling may serve as an independent predictor of prognosis for NSCLC patients receiving ICIs, leading to significantly improved progression-free survival and prolonged overall survival. It is also associated with an inflammatory immune microenvironment, inflammatory expression profile, and enhanced immunogenicity. Further prospective clinical studies and molecular mechanism explorations are necessary for validation.
