Functional DNA-peptide conjugates with enhanced antifouling capabilities for electrochemical detection of proteins in complex human serum

Summary: This study developed an electrochemical biosensing platform with enhanced antifouling abilities by immobilizing DNA-peptide conjugates onto an electrode. The biosensor exhibited enhanced antifouling properties and was capable of detecting low fouling proteins directly in complex biological samples.

Effect of Ectoine on the Conformation and Hybridization of dsDNA in Monolayer Films: A Spectroelectrochemical Study

Summary: The stability of DNA-based supramolecular assemblies can be improved by tethering dsDNA fragments with a compatible solute such as ectoine, which also inhibits enzymatic activity. The structural rearrangement caused by ectoine interaction can lead to a reorientation of nucleic acid base pairs and local disruption of the double-helix structure, but the conformation of the dsDNA fragment remains stable in a certain potential range.
