High-Efficiency Perovskite Quantum Dot Photovoltaic with Homogeneous Structure and Energy Landscape

Hehe Huang et al.

Summary: The energy disorder originating from quantum dot size and relevant solid film inhomogeneity is detrimental to the charge transport and efficiency of QD based solar cells. A facile solution phase anchoring strategy is first reported for the design and preparation of uniform CsPbI3 perovskite quantum dot film, which reduces the structure and energy disorder. The engineered CsPbI3 PQD solar cell exhibits enhanced reproducibility, higher open-circuit voltage, and a champion efficiency of 16.14%.

Ziqiang Sun et al.

Summary: The surface ligands of colloidal quantum dots (QDs) play a significant role in their surface properties. In this study, the effect of ligand chain length on Ag2Se QDs was investigated, and it was found that the PL intensity increased with shorter ligand chains. AgAuSe QDs with high PL quantum yield were obtained through alloying, enabling ultrasensitive in vivo angiography imaging.

Dopant-Free Bithiophene-Imide-Based Polymeric Hole-Transporting Materials for Efficient and Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

Yuanqing Bai et al.

Summary: The development of high-performance hole-transport materials (HTMs) is crucial for improving the efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells. In this study, two conjugated polymers, PBTI and PFBTI, were successfully synthesized and demonstrated as promising HTMs. The introduction of fluorine atoms and optimization of the polymer structure significantly enhanced the hole mobility and stability of the devices. The PVSCs incorporating PFBTI as the HTM achieved a record power conversion efficiency of 23.1%, making it one of the best HTMs reported to date. Moreover, PFBTI showed great potential for applications in inorganic PVSCs and perovskite/organic tandem solar cells, with high conversion efficiencies of 17.4% and 22.2%, respectively.
