Pseudo-Planar Heterojunction Organic Photovoltaics with Optimized Light Utilization for Printable Solar Windows

Siqi Liu et al.

Summary: Scalable solar windows with a pseudo-planar heterojunction (PPHJ) structure and a superhydrophobic patterned soft insertion layer (PSIL) were successfully printed. The PPHJ structure improved the average visible transmittance (AVT) and power conversion efficiency (PCE) of semitransparent organic solar cells (ST-OSCs), while the PSIL enhanced waterproof performance without sacrificing transparency. The semitransparent devices based on the Y6 system achieved a maximal efficiency of 14.62% and a considerable AVT of 20.42%, with a stabilized efficiency of 13.34% and excellent waterproof performance for the solar windows.

Systematic investigation on stability influence factors for organic solar cells

Cheng Yang et al.

Summary: This study investigates the degradation of organic solar cells (OSCs) by performing accelerated aging tests on different layers. The results show that the organic layer and the hole transport layer MoO3 have a significant impact on degradation. The morphological changes in the organic layer hinder light absorption and charge transport, while the shallower work function of MoO3 reduces hole extraction efficiency.
