Event-Triggered Prescribed Settling Time Consensus Compensation Control for a Class of Uncertain Nonlinear Systems With Actuator Failures

Jianhui Wang et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a control method for uncertain nonlinear systems with actuator failures. By using neural network adaptive control and nonlinear transformation function, the method achieves rapid convergence of system states and compensation for actuator failures when failures occur. Meanwhile, a finite-time event-triggered compensation control strategy is introduced to achieve rapid system stabilization and save network bandwidth.

The ecotoxicology of marine tributyltin (TBT) hotspots: A review

Jonny Beyer et al.

Summary: This article reviews the history and current status of tributyltin (TBT) pollution and marine TBT hotspots, with a focus on the Norwegian coastline. It also highlights the toxicity of TBT in various marine species and humans, emphasizing the current understanding of toxicity mechanisms causing endocrine disruption in marine species. Despite the decrease in TBT sediment concentrations in many marine environments, contaminant hotspots are still prevalent globally.

Summary: An improved theoretical model of the tri-layer structure is established in this paper, studying the buckling behavior of the trilayer to obtain static buckling amplitude and wavelength. By analyzing numerical examples, it is found that the nonlinear frequency of the tri-layer structure is influenced by the thickness and Young's modulus of the intermediate layer.

A Numerical Approach Based on Finite Element Method for the Wrinkling Analysis of Dielectric Elastomer Membranes

Guoyong Mao et al.

Summary: A numerical approach based on the finite element method was developed to predict the morphology of wrinkled DE membranes mounted on a rigid frame. The study investigated the thinnest sites of the wrinkles on the DE membranes and successfully predicted wrinkles with various sizes on an isosceles right triangle frame. Experimentally, it was confirmed that the crests/troughs of the wrinkles are the thinnest sites around the center of the membrane.
