Selective room-temperature ammonia sensing using CeO2-multiwalled carbon nanotube composite

Nitesh Dogra et al.

Summary: A chemiresistive sensor based on CeO2/multiwalled carbon nanotubes composite has been developed for the detection of ammonia vapors at room temperature. The composite sensor showed p-type conduction and exhibited a linear relation between sensing response and ammonia concentration. Compared to sensors made from CeO2, the composite-based sensor demonstrated shorter response and recovery time, and higher sensitivity to ammonia.

Temperature-Based Selective Detection of Hydrogen Sulfide and Ethanol with MoS2/WO3 Composite

Sukhwinder Singh et al.

Summary: In this study, a temperature-sensitive sensor using MoS2/WO3 composite as a sensing surface was successfully developed for selective detection of hydrogen sulfide and ethanol. The sensor showed preferential detection of the two gases by modulating the temperature, with good repeatability and long-term stability. Enhanced sensitivity and selectivity were achieved through the formation of n-n type heterostructures, indicating the potential of composite-based heterojunctions for tuning sensing parameters.
