The effect of resin uptake on the flexural properties of compression molded sandwich composites

Dongyang Cao et al.

Summary: The study highlights the importance of resin uptake in determining the flexural properties of sandwich composites used in wind turbine blades. It is found that different resin uptake levels can significantly impact the specific flexural strength and modulus of the composite materials. Additionally, the findings suggest that the failure mode of the sandwich composites is influenced by the core stiffness and surface texture, with different types of cores exhibiting different failure mechanisms.

Impact of In-Situ Cd Saturation MOCVD Grown CdTe Solar Cells on As Doping and VOC

Ochai Oklobia et al.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of in-situ Cd-saturated growth on As doping and device V-OC of polycrystalline CdTe:As thin film. The results showed that Cd-saturated growth at a low temperature led to improved device efficiency and V-OC. Furthermore, combining Cd-saturated growth with a higher temperature chlorine heat treatment further improved the device efficiency and V-OC.

Radiation sensor based on thin-film CdTe/CdS device structure and its radiation resistance under high-intensity hydrogen plasma

A. V. Meriuts et al.

Summary: The ability of CdTe/CdS thin-film devices to detect ionizing radiation was investigated in this study. The devices, prepared using the hot-wall method, exhibited radiation sensitivity without the need for an external voltage, making them suitable for low-voltage radiation sensing. The effects of high-intensity hydrogen plasma irradiation on the crystal structure and performance were examined, and it was found that the device structures remained functional under certain conditions but deteriorated with prolonged exposure to plasma.

Effect of pulse bias voltages on performance of CdTe thin film solar cells prepared by pulsed laser deposition

Dan Wang et al.

Summary: A new method for the efficiency improvement of CdTe thin film solar cells is proposed in this study. By depositing CdTe thin films under different pulse bias conditions, significant effects of pulse bias on crystal structure and optical properties were observed. Fabricated FTO/CdS /CdTe/Au solar cells showed improved efficiency and excellent response performance over a wide wavelength range, demonstrating the significant impact of pulse bias voltage.

Tunability of conductivity type and energy band gap of CdTe thin film in the electrodeposition technique

Sunday Samuel Oluyamo et al.

Summary: In this research, CdTe thin films were fabricated using electrodeposition technique and characterized for their structural, morphological, optical, electrical conductivity, and elemental composition properties. The study revealed that the deposition period influences the band gap, chemical composition, and conductivity of the films. The properties of CdTe can be tuned by varying the deposition period and heat treatment in electrodeposition technique.
