Design of a Novel Lead-Free Perovskite Solar Cell for 17.83% Efficiency

Syed Abdul Moiz et al.

Summary: Lead halide perovskite solar cells have great potential, but also pose environmental hazards due to lead toxicity. Replacing lead with non-toxic metal perovskite can significantly reduce toxicity. This study proposes a novel lead-free compound Cs2TiBr6 for photovoltaic applications, achieving a maximum power-conversion efficiency of 17.83% through comprehensive optimization of each layer.
