High-temperature tensile and thermal shock characterization of low-temperature rolled tungsten

Large-scale potassium-doped tungsten alloy with superior recrystallization resistance, ductility and strength induced by potassium bubbles

Summary: In this study, a potassium-doped tungsten plate was prepared and annealed to investigate the influence of potassium bubbles on recrystallization resistance and mechanical properties. The results showed that the potassium bubbles inhibited the transverse movement of grain boundaries, leading to excellent recrystallization resistance. Additionally, the bubbles also enhanced the strength and ductility of tungsten.

Neutron irradiation-enhanced grain growth in tungsten and tungsten alloys

Summary: This study provides experimental evidence of radiation-enhanced recrystallization in tungsten and undoped tungsten-rhenium alloys under fusion-relevant environments. It is found that potassium or lanthanum doping in tungsten alloys improves resistance to radiation-enhanced grain growth. The study also highlights the importance of considering radiation-enhanced recrystallization in the design and application of tungsten plasma-facing components in future nuclear fusion reactors.

High Transient-Thermal-Shock Resistant Nanochannel Tungsten Films

Analysis shows that the lower residual stress in irradiated nanochannel tungsten films is due to their unique structure and ability to eliminate irradiation-induced defects.
