Presenteeism in Nurses: Prevalence, Consequences, and Causes From the Perspectives of Nurses and Chief Nurses

The findings emphasize the need to establish policy systems around paid sick leave, workload, and communication with managers to reduce nurse presenteeism and the subsequent socio-economic financial losses.

Proactive psychological programs designed to mitigate posttraumatic stress injuries among at-risk workers: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of proactive PTSI mitigation programs among occupational groups exposed to PPTE. The results showed that holistic programs, including mindfulness, psychoeducation, resilience promotion, and stress management strategies, have a modest time-limited effect on reducing PTSI symptoms and promoting measures of well-being. However, these improvements were mainly seen in the short term post-program, with greater effects on measures of depression, burnout, and coping.

Incidence of PTSD and generalized anxiety symptoms during the first wave of COVID-19 outbreak: an exploratory study of a large sample of the Italian population

Results showed that gender and generation were consistent risk factors for higher levels of anxiety and PTSD symptoms during the pandemic. Other variables yielded less consistent evidence.
