Julie P. Smith et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the feasibility and usefulness of including human milk production as an indicator in food surveillance systems to assess infant and young child food security and dietary quality. The case of Norway provides an example of how estimating mother's milk production can increase visibility for breastfeeding women in food system dialogue and action, as well as showcasing the significant potential for greater milk production.
