Multimorbidity and health literacy: A population-based survey among 28,627 Danish adults

Summary: This study examines the association between the number of physical conditions and health literacy among individuals with multimorbidity, and compares the health literacy levels between individuals with additional mental disorders and individuals with only physical conditions. Do health literacy levels of nursing students change throughout the study programme? A cross-sectional study

Summary: The aim of this research was to analyze if the level of health literacy (HL) of nursing students changes throughout the study programme. The study found that the level of health literacy of nursing students increases from the first to the fourth academic year, even when controlling for sex. It is recommended to implement intervention strategies to improve students' health literacy, which is crucial for providing care to patients, their families and the community.

Factors Related to Diet Quality: A Cross-Sectional Study of 1055 University Students

Summary: The study found that only 17.4% of Spanish university students have a healthy diet, with low intake of fruits and vegetables and high intake of processed meats and sweets. Predictive factors for poor diet quality include being male, living alone, low physical activity levels, smoking, high alcohol intake, sedentary lifestyle, psychological distress, and insomnia. Participants with low or high body weights tend to have a higher quality diet.

Determining mental health literacy of undergraduate nursing students to inform learning and teaching strategies

Summary: Limited research in Australia has shown significant gaps in mental health literacy knowledge among undergraduate nursing students. This study found that third-year students demonstrated higher levels of mental health literacy, but nearly 40% felt they lacked sufficient understanding. Most students expressed a need for more information on mental illnesses, treatments, stigma reduction, and communication with those with mental illness. They also believed that mental health first aid training should be mandatory for nursing students.

The Relationship between E-Health Literacy and Health-Promoting Behaviors in Nursing Students: A Multiple Mediation Model

Interventions to improve e-health literacy and strategies to promote healthy behaviors should be developed based on these findings.
