We use Monte Carlo simulations to investigate the behavior of Janus spheres composed of attractive and repulsive parts confined between two parallel solid surfaces. The adsorption isotherms and the impact of density on morphology are determined. Unique structures such as bilayer and three-layer structures at different distances from the walls are observed. The positional and orientational ordering in these layers are affected by selected parameters, with highly ordered hexagonal lattices formed in some cases.
We use Monte Carlo simulations to investigate the behaviorof Janusspheres composed of attractive and repulsive parts confined betweentwo parallel solid surfaces. The slits with identical and competingwalls are studied. The adsorption isotherms of Janus particles aredetermined, and the impact of the density in the pore on the morphologyis discussed in detail. So far, this issue has not been systematicallyinvestigated. New, unique structures are observed along the isotherms, including the bilayer and three-layer structures located at differentdistances from the walls. We analyze how selected parameters affectthe positional and orientational ordering in these layers. In somecases, the particles form highly ordered hexagonal lattices.
