Bio-Oriented Synthesis of Novel (S)-Flurbiprofen Clubbed Hydrazone Schiff's Bases for Diabetic Management: In Vitro and In Silico Studies

Aftab Alam et al.

Summary: A new series of (S)-flurbiprofen derivatives were synthesized and their structures were confirmed. The α-glucosidase inhibitory activities of these compounds were investigated and some showed strong inhibition while others showed significant inhibition. Molecular docking revealed the modes of binding of the active compounds and their interactions with two specific amino acid residues in the active site of the enzyme.
