Impacts of high-intensity exercise on the metabolomics profile of human skeletal muscle tissue

Summary: This study aimed to identify and quantify the metabolites profile and metabolic pathways in human muscle tissue during high-intensity cycling exercise. It found that high-intensity exercise led to changes in muscle metabolites, including increased levels of glucose, lactate, AMP, and decreased levels of creatine phosphate, carnitine, and glutamate. Additionally, succinate was significantly correlated with exercise endurance time, highlighting the importance of amino acid and fatty acid oxidation pathways during high-intensity exercise.

The results also suggest that strengthening functional and structural connectivity between the medial prefrontal cortex and the amygdala could be a therapeutic strategy for knee osteoarthritis. Controlled clinical trials are needed to confirm these preliminary findings.

Moreover, urine samples taken over consecutive mornings can effectively detect differences in lifestyle.

Analysis of Metabonomic Characteristics after Exercise Fatigue Based on NMR

Summary: This paper proposes a method based on NMR to analyze the metabonomics features after exercise fatigue in order to better understand the changes of body metabolism of athletes before and after exercise. The experiment retrospectively analyzes the metabonomic characteristics of urine of middle and long distance runners after a heavy load training class. The results show that this method can effectively analyze the changes of body metabolism after athletes' fatigue, so as to better alleviate athletes' fatigue after exercise.

Relationships between Sex and Adaptation to Physical Exercise in Young Athletes: A Pilot Study

These findings can help in developing training programs tailored to athletes' sex, promoting female participation in sports, and challenging gender stereotypes in the field.
