Wheelchairs are commonly used assistive devices to improve mobility and quality of life for people with walking difficulties. Smart wheelchairs are equipped with sensors, cameras, and computer-based structures to perform specific tasks. Autonomous smart wheelchairs for disabled individuals rely on a human-user interface for decision-making, with smart control technology handling the rest of the motion automatically.
The wheelchair is the commonly used assistive devices to promote mobility and enrich quality of life for persons who have difficulties in walking. Smart wheelchair is normally equipped with sensors, cameras and computer -based structure as key processing unit to be able to execute the specific work. The autonomous smart wheel-chairs (ASWs) for disabled persons are organized by human user interface where the human takes decisions at the highest level of operation and the smart control technology offers the remaining the motion automatic. In this study, we develop a hybridized combined compromise solution (CoCoSo) approach based on Dombi operators and similarity measure for assessing the ASWs of five manufacturing companies on interval-valued Fermatean fuzzy sets (IVFFSs). To illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the presented approach, a case study of company selection to manufacture the ASWs for disabled persons is presented where the assessment alternatives are given in terms of IVFFSs. In this context, globally existing manufacturing companies of ASWs for disabled persons are recognized and then ranked over thirteen criteria of sustainability. Sensitivity analysis over the variation of criteria weights determines the stability of the results. A comparison with extant models shows the practicality and steadiness of the presented method.
