Modifications in the physical structure of a new two-layer micro-size heat sink with sinusoidal shaped cavities for heat transfer augmentation of nanofluid flow

Kai Tang et al.

Summary: This paper presents a numerical simulation study of graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) - sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS) - water nanofluid. The study indicates that higher Reynolds numbers lead to increased convective heat transfer coefficients, decreased temperature gradients, and increased influence of cooling fluid temperature in the warm areas near the solid wall. Furthermore, higher Reynolds numbers also result in larger development lengths and decreased outlet section temperatures.

Summary: This paper extracted the thermal conductivity of cerium oxide/ethylene glycol nanofluid for different temperatures and volume fractions of nanoparticles, and predicted it using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and fitting method. The experiments showed an increase in the thermal conductivity ratio of the nanofluid with increasing volume fraction and temperature. It was observed that the rate of increase in thermal conductivity at high temperatures is higher than at low temperatures. The ANN proved to be highly effective in predicting the thermal behavior of the nanofluid.
