Nanoparticles migration effects on enhancing cooling process of triangular electronic chips using novel E-shaped porous cavity

A. Shafiei et al.

Summary: An optimized configuration for cooling triangular heat chips using SiO2-based nanofluid and a porous E-shaped enclosure with a wavy left wall is computationally analyzed. The effects of parameters such as nanoparticle volume fraction, heat source location, wavy wall waves, and cavity aspect ratio on the thermal and hydrodynamic behaviors of the nanofluid are assessed. The results show that the volume fraction of nanoparticles and the number of waves have limited effects on heat transfer, while the thermal performance can be improved by reducing the cavity aspect ratio or moving the heat source towards the upper or lower walls.

Radiative effects on unsteady MHD natural convection flow in an inclined wavy porous cavity using hybrid nanofluid containing a square obstacle

Hossam A. Nabwey et al.

Summary: The introduction of hybrid nanofluids has significant applications in various engineering and industrial fields such as low-pressure drop, wider absorption range, generator cooling, good thermal conductivity, nuclear system cooling, and heat exchangers. This study focuses on the unsteady MHD free convection flow of hybrid nanofluid in an inclined wavy permeable enclosure with a square obstacle, considering the effects of radiation and heat generation/absorption. The results show that parameters such as porosity, nanoparticle volume fraction, and Hartmann number have an impact on the average Nusselt number and distribution of isothermal lines.

Summary: This analysis numerically examines the influence of thermal radiation and magnetic field on heat transfer and flow analysis of water-CNTs nanofluid between two stretchable revolving disks with heat generation/absorption and convective boundary condition. The Finite Element technique is employed to solve the non-linear ordinary differential equations and boundary conditions, and the velocity and temperature distributions are calculated and displayed through graphs. The study also investigates the rates of change of velocity and temperature, and the skin friction coefficient in the boundary layer regime.

Effectiveness of magnetize flow on nanofluid via unsteady natural convection inside an inclined U-shaped cavity with discrete heating

Hossam A. Nabwey et al.

Summary: This study investigates the unsteady MHD free convection flow and heat transfer in an inclined U-shaped cavity filled with Cu-water nanofluid. The effects of various parameters, such as heat source length, Hartmann number, nanoparticle volume fraction, heat source location, and aspect ratio, on the mean heat transfer rate are examined. The results show that the mean heat transfer rate decreases with heat source length and Hartmann number, but increases with heat source location and nanoparticle volume fraction. Furthermore, the mean heat transfer rate increases with aspect ratio.

Models base study of inclined MHD of hybrid nanofluid flow over nonlinear stretching cylinder

Nadeem Abbas et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the stagnation point flow of hybrid nanofluid with inclined magnetic field over a moving cylinder, using mathematical models and boundary layer approximations to convert systems of partial differential equations to dimensionless systems of ordinary differential equations for numerical solutions. The effects of physical parameters variation are depicted through graphs, and skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number are highlighted through tables. The main objective is to investigate the heat transfer rate on the surface of the nonlinear stretching cylinder, comparing the results of Xue model and Yamada-Ota model for the hybrid nanofluid. In both cases, velocity and temperature profiles are best compared to the decay results.

Effect of dual-rotation on MHD natural convection of NEPCM in a hexagonal-shaped cavity based on time-fractional ISPH method

Zehba Raizah et al.

Summary: The time-fractional derivative based on the Grunwald-Letnikove derivative is applied to simulate dual rotation in a hexagonal-shaped cavity suspended by nano-encapsulated phase change material (NEPCM). The impacts of various parameters on velocity field, isotherms, and mean Nusselt number (Nu) over bar are discussed. The findings indicate that the time-fractional derivative affects the dual rotation, and variables like fin length and fusion temperature can significantly influence the cooling process and phase change zone.
