A life stage-targeted acaricide application approach for the control of Haemaphysalis longicornis

Summary: This study indicates that a single application of pyrethroid acaricide lambda-cyhalothrin can effectively control Haemaphysalis longicornis for up to 7 weeks, with the highest efficacy observed when applied in June and July. A late-summer application in August can also provide near complete control of the larval population. Multiple sequential treatments targeting all life stages can significantly reduce the overall population of H. longicornis throughout its activity season.
