An avenue to Chan-Lam N-arylation by Cu(0) nanoparticles immobilized graphitic carbon-nitride oxide surface

Rakhee Saikia et al.

Summary: In this study, Cu(0) nanoparticles were immobilized on a template-free carbon-nitride oxide surface. These heterogeneous catalysts facilitated the Chan-Lam N-arylation of anilines, azoles, and indoles with phenylboronic acids, yielding synthetically important compounds with wide pharmaceutical applications. The achievements of this work include the reuse of the catalyst, the use of greener solvents, and the extension of the scope of the Chan-Lam cross-coupling reaction.

Summary: ERK1/2 inhibitors are being explored for their potential to overcome resistance to RAF and MEK kinase inhibitors. A new 4-aminoquinazoline derivative, compound 25a, showed promising activity in BT-20 cells by inducing cell death through lactate dehydrogenase release and necrosis induction. The compound also led to cell cycle arrest and downregulation of key signaling pathways in breast cancer cells.

Synthesis, Thermoresponsive Behavior, and Catalytic Properties of Amphiphilic Diblock Copolymers of N-Vinylcaprolactam and N-Vinylimidazole

A. I. Barabanova et al.

Summary: Thermoresponsive diblock copolymers were prepared by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer/macromolecular design and studied for their temperature behavior and catalytic activity. The phase separation temperature of the copolymers depended on the length of the PVCL chain and the composition of the solvent, and the formation of hydrophilic-hydrophobic interfaces inside mesoglobules enhanced catalytic activity.
