Blockchain Bridges Critical National Infrastructures: E-Healthcare Data Migration Perspective

Yiying Liu et al.

Summary: Secure management of Critical National Infrastructures (CNI) is a pressing challenge for any country. As a CNI, the Electronic Healthcare System (EHS) infrastructure records citizens' medical records, raising concerns about security and privacy. Blockchain is seen as a potential solution to integrate independent EHS systems, ensuring data uniqueness and overcoming security issues. However, data synchronization and interoperability between traditional EHS and blockchain-based EHS pose significant challenges. This research proposes a blockchain-based framework to bridge the gap and enable uninterrupted data exchanges between the two systems.
