Modeling of System-Level Conducted EMI of the High-Voltage Electric Drive System in Electric Vehicles

Summary: This study aims to solve the issue of electromagnetic compatibility caused by the high-voltage electric drive system (HEDS) in electric vehicles. A vehicle-based model of HEDS is established to predict the conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) accurately. The model takes into account the electromagnetic environment inside electric vehicles, accurate modeling of various parts of HEDS, and the consideration of parasitic parameters. The simulation results using PSPICE 16.6 show good agreement with experimental measurements.

The Review of Electromagnetic Field Modeling Methods for Permanent-Magnet Linear Motors

A Separate Floating Heatsink Based Suppression Method for Conducted Common-Mode EM

Summary: This article proposes a separate floating heatsink based suppression method (SFHBSM) to effectively suppress high-frequency conducted common-mode (CM) electromagnetic interference (EMI) by improving both the CM EMI source and the propagation path. The SFHBSM achieves nonringing CM EMI source and provides effective blocking for the CM EMI propagation in the high-frequency domain. Experiments show that SFHBSM achieves EMI reduction in almost the whole high-frequency domain with up to 35 dB attenuation in a two-level three-phase power converter.
