Adaptive Dynamic Programming-Based Cross-Scale Control of a Hydraulic-Driven Flexible Robotic Manipulator

Xiaohua Wei et al.

Summary: The proposed method in this paper is suitable for application in robotic arm systems. It focuses on adaptive dynamic programming-based tracking control of the hydraulic-driven flexible robotic manipulator system (HDFRMS) with varying payloads and uncertainties via singular perturbation theory (SPT). The dynamics of the manipulator system is derived using a driven Jacobian matrix, and the whole dynamic model is decoupled into three subsystems. An adaptive dynamic programming trajectory tracking control law, a robust optimal control, and an adaptive sliding mode control are designed using Lyapunov stability theory. Numerical simulations are carried out to validate the singular perturbation decomposition and proposed control algorithm.

Application of integrated factor evaluation-analytic hierarchy process-T-S fuzzy fault tree analysis in reliability allocation of industrial robot systems

Bin Bai et al.

Summary: A new methodology named integrated factor evaluation-analytic hierarchy process-T-S fuzzy fault tree analysis (IFE-AHP-T-S fuzzy FTA) is proposed to allocate the reliability index of industrial robot systems (IRSs) with multiple fault states, considering the degradation of mechanical structure and multi-state fault. The study is significant for reducing fault probability and providing a theoretical basis for the whole life cycle design of IRSs.

A novel based-performance degradation indicator RUL prediction model and its application in rolling bearing

Chuangyan Yang et al.

Summary: This study proposes a novel RUL prediction model based on performance degradation indicators to address the poor prediction performance of rolling bearing remaining useful life (RUL) with a single degradation indicator. The vibration signal of the rolling bearing is decomposed, and the degradation feature set of the reconstructed signals is extracted. The sensitive degradation indicator is calculated by fusing improved independent component analysis and Mahalanobis Distance, and the error fluctuations are repaired using a gray regression model. Finally, a neural network model based on the health indicator is constructed to predict the RUL of the rolling bearing.

Towards Data-Driven Reliability Modeling for Cyber-Physical Production Systems

Jonas Friederich et al.

Summary: Reliability is crucial in contemporary production facilities, and modeling techniques like Fault Trees and Markov Chains are commonly used to derive reliability measurements. This paper suggests utilizing data from modern manufacturing systems to automate or support the development of reliability models, and introduces a case study for testing a new data-driven approach.
