Summary: This article proposes two Kalman-filter-based online identification schemes for permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) with consideration of the nonlinearity of a voltage-source inverter (VSI). The effectiveness and robustness of the proposed approaches are demonstrated through experiments. The real-time feasibility of the estimators up to 20 kHz is also proven.
