Smart Contracts in Blockchain Technology: A Critical Review

Hamed Taherdoost

Summary: By utilizing smart contracts, the execution of predetermined procedures can be made visible to the outside world through decentralized scripts anchored in blockchains or similar infrastructures. Smart contracts enable the programmability of previously unrealized assets, such as money, and the automation of manual business logic. This review analyzes English-written articles on smart contracts in blockchain technologies from 2012 to 2022, discussing their present status, significance, gaps, challenges, and potential research routes for future study.

IoT System Selection as a Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Problem

Galina Ilieva et al.

Summary: This research aims to analyze the applications of IoT in agriculture and compare the widely used IoT platforms. The study develops a multi-criteria framework for selecting an IoT solution in a fuzzy environment. The proposed framework introduces a modified MABAC method with a specific distance measure using intuitionistic fuzzy values. The effectiveness of the new decision-making framework is verified through an illustrative example of ranking IoT platforms.
