DeepHPV: a deep learning model to predict human papillomavirus integration sites

Rui Tian et al.

Summary: The deep learning model DeepHPV utilizing attention mechanism demonstrated the ability to predict HPV integration sites effectively. By training on known data and testing on reviewed data, the model showed promising performance. Incorporating RepeatMasker and TCGA Pan Cancer peaks significantly improved the model's predictive power. Independent testing on VISDB revealed that the model with TCGA Pan Cancer performed better than the one with RepeatMasker peaks.

DeepEBV: a deep learning model to predict Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) integration sites

Jiuxing Liang et al.

Summary: A deep learning model named DeepEBV was developed to predict Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) integration sites by learning local genomic features automatically. The model showed promising performance in training dataset and was validated in an independent dataset, accurately predicting EBV integration hotspot genes. Additionally, the motifs of DNA-binding proteins were found to influence the selection preference of viral insertional mutagenesis.

DeepHBV: a deep learning model to predict hepatitis B virus (HBV) integration sites

Canbiao Wu et al.

Summary: The study developed a deep learning model called DeepHBV to predict HBV integration sites, showing improved performance by incorporating genomic features of repeat peaks and TCGA Pan-Cancer peaks. DeepHBV identified novel integration preferences for HBV, highlighting the potential role of specific transcription factor binding sites in HBV integration-related carcinogenesis.
