In order to facilitate convenient and healthy lives, human body electronic devices with interactive, medical, and communication functions have been developed. However, the application of aqueous batteries in these devices is still at the proof-of-concept stage despite extensive research progress.
In the pursuit of convenient and healthy lives, humanbody electronicdevices with interactive, medical, and communication functions havebeen gradually developed, propelling research into high-safety aqueousbatteries as energy hubs. Despite extensive research progress, theapplication of aqueous batteries in human body electronic devicesis still at the proof-of-concept stage. In this Focus Review, we comprehensivelysummarize the design strategies and research advances in the rationalcoupling of electrochemical properties with mechanical properties, degradability, and biocompatibility for aqueous wearable and implantabledegradable batteries. The challenges and perspectives for the furtherdevelopment of aqueous batteries for human body electronic devicesare outlined to guide research toward next-generation aqueous batteriesfor practical applications in the human body.
