Improving health and social systems for all children in LMICs: structural innovations to deliver high-quality services

Margaret E. Kruk et al.

Summary: Despite some progress in the past few decades, children and adolescents in many low-income and middle-income countries are still not reaching their health potential. In addition to health systems, social systems such as schools, communities, families, and digital platforms can be utilized to promote children's health. However, a targeted literature review found that the quality of services for children is generally substandard across both health and social systems, highlighting the need for structural reforms to improve service quality.
