Mesoporous TiO2 enhanced by anchoring Mn3O4 for highly efficient photocatalyst toward photo-oxidation of ciprofloxacin

The nanocomposites showed excellent photocatalytic degradation performance for ciprofloxacin under visible light illumination. The enhanced photocatalytic ability was attributed to the high absorption of visible light, synergistic effect, and unique structure with a large surface area.

Modification optical properties of TiO2 nanostructure as solar cell

Electronic and optoelectronic properties of intrinsic and cooper-doped germanium nanowire network devices

Summary: The objective of this study was to synthesize germanium nanowires, with and without the addition of copper dopant, for use as light sensors. Gold nanoparticles were formed by heat treatment and nanowires were synthesized using the VLS method. Among the twenty-five samples produced, seventeen met the desired dimensions and composition. The initial characterization showed that the germanium nanowires had semiconductor properties and could produce both ohmic and rectifier contacts. The study of optoelectronic properties revealed that samples with lower current in the dark had stronger photoresponde, and the photocurrent reached saturation rapidly.
