Enhanced orange emission of Zn0.98-XMn0.02CoxS (x=0≤0.02) quantum dots

P. J. Binu et al.

Summary: This study successfully prepared ZnS nanostructures double doped with Mn2+ and Co2+ ions and analyzed their structure, size, and optical properties. The increase in Co2+ concentration led to a red shift in the optical band gap values, with 1 at. wt% Co2+ doped samples exhibiting higher optical transmittance. The incorporation of Co2+ ions resulted in blue and orange emissions, with emission intensity increasing with higher dopant composition.

Structural, electrical and magnetic characterization of Al3+ substituted Mg-Zn ferrites

Mehmet Kuru et al.

Summary: The purpose of this research is to examine the change in structural, magnetic, and electrical properties of Mg0.75Zn0.25AlxFe2-xO4 ferrites with Al3+ contribution. The samples were prepared by co-precipitation technique and characterized using XRD, SEM, FTIR, VSM, and impedance spectroscopy. The results show that the Al3+ contribution leads to an increase in the crystal size, changes in magnetic properties, and variation in dielectric properties.

Influence of Bi3+ ions substitution on structural, magnetic, and electrical properties of lead hexaferrite

Y. D. Choudhari et al.

Summary: In this study, the Microwave induced sol-gel auto-combustion process was used to prepare lead hexaferrite with Bi3+ as a replacement. Various testing methods were employed to investigate the impact of added Bi3+ ions on the structure, magnetic, and dielectric properties of the material. The results showed that the addition of Bi3+ ions enhanced both the magnetic and dielectric performance of the lead hexaferrite.

Band gap tailoring, structural and optical features of MgS nanoparticles: Influence of Ag+ ions

P. Sakthivel et al.

Summary: Ag+ ions incorporated MgS nanoparticles were synthesized by the co-precipitation method. The samples exhibited a cubic structure based on XRD spectra, with TEM pictures confirming spherical shape and particle size ranging from 11 nm to 15 nm. SEM photographs revealed reduced agglomeration at higher doping concentrations, and EDX and FTIR analyses verified element presence according to stoichiometry ratio. UV-vis absorption increased with Ag+ ions incorporation, leading to a blue-shifted optical band gap. Ag+ ions incorporation resulted in intense red PL emission at 660 nm for MgS:Ag at 2 at.%, with PL peaks shifting to higher wavelengths and red emission attributed to electron transitions in high energy levels.
