Accurate Approximation to Channel Distributions of Cascaded RIS-Aided Systems With Phase Errors Over Nakagami-m Channels

Zhandos Zhakipov et al.

Summary: This letter proposes a novel accurate approximation for the channel distribution of cascaded RIS-aided wireless networks over Nakagami-m fading channels. The derived probability density function and outage probability expressions are applicable to any number of cascaded RISs and reflecting elements per individual RIS. The approximation accuracy is validated using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness-of-fit test, and analytical results are verified through Monte Carlo simulations.
