Joint Optimization of Computing Offloading and Service Caching in Edge Computing-Based Smart Grid

Huan Zhou et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the joint optimization problem of edge computing in smart grids, which aims to minimize the task cost of the system. By moving computing, data, and services from the traditional cloud-based smart grid to edge servers, the requirements of low latency and high reliability for emerging applications can be met. In addition, service caching also shows advantages in handling the surge in data traffic. A Collaborative Computing Offloading and Resource Allocation Method (CCORAM) is proposed to solve the optimization problem, which includes two low-complexity algorithms.

Yaomin Zhang et al.

Summary: In this paper, an uplink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) terrestrial-satellite network is studied. The optimization problem is decomposed into user association, bandwidth assignment, and power allocation sub-problems, each of which is addressed by a proposed algorithm. Finally, a three-stage iterative resource allocation algorithm considering all three sub-problems is proposed.
