Summary: By collaborating with local nursing schools, a statewide hospital system successfully implemented a patient care internship program to improve NLCEX-RN pass rates, nurse retention, cost-savings, students' confidence, and program satisfaction. The program achieved a 96% pass rate for NCLEX-RN on the first attempt, with 82% of participants retained at hospitals and significant cost savings.
