Magnetic Behavior of Virgin and Lithiated NiFe2O4 Nanoparticles

Ghadah M. M. Al-Senani et al.

Summary: A series of virgin and lithia-doped Ni ferrites were synthesized using egg-white-mediated combustion, and their properties were characterized using various techniques such as XRD, FTIR, and HRTEM. Lithia doping was found to enhance the structural parameters, magnetic properties, and morphological properties of the ferrites. The presence of nanoscale particles and shape modification were observed in the lithia-doped ferrite. Additionally, an increase in dopant content led to a decrease in magnetization and an increase in coercivity.

The Structure, Magnetic, and Gas Sensing Characteristics of W-Substituted Co-Ferrite Nanoparticles

Omar Abd-Elkader et al.

Summary: This article reports on the gas sensing abilities of Co-ferrite doped with W ions. Experimental results show that the introduction of W(VI) ions changes the magnetic properties and lattice structure of the CoFe2O4 material, and the material exhibits high sensitivity and selectivity for acetone gas sensing.

Fabrication and Characterization of W-Substituted ZnFe2O4 for Gas Sensing Applications

Abdullah M. Al-Enizi et al.

Summary: A sol-gel technique was used to create pure and W-substituted zinc ferrite. Various analytical techniques were employed to investigate the physical and chemical properties. It was found that the particle shapes were mixed, and the sizes and strains varied with the W doping content. The surface area, pore structure, and magnetic properties showed differences among the samples.

Enhancing the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Sensing Sensitivity of Mn-Ferrite with Vanadium Doping

Omar H. Abd-Elkader et al.

Summary: This study presents the hydrothermal synthesis of V-doped nanostructured Mn-ferrite and investigates its structural and magnetic properties. The results show that the doping of V (V) ions can alter the unit cell dimensions, magnetic moment, and sensing sensitivity, while also improving gas-sensing ability.

A comparison between structural and magnetic behavior of cobalt ferrite synthesized via solid state and chemical methods

Ali Sharifi et al.

Summary: Cobalt ferrite oxide (CoFe2O4) was synthesized using two different methods, mechanochemical and combustion. The powder synthesized through combustion method showed higher saturation magnetization and coercive field compared to the one synthesized through mechanical milling, possibly due to the presence of Co3+ in the starting powder.

Incandescent Combustion Synthesis of Nanomagnetic Ni/NiO Composites

Nasrallah M. Deraz

Summary: This study presents the first attempt to produce nanomagnetic Ni/NiO composites on a large scale using autocombustion with corchorus olitorius leaves or extract. The synthesized materials were characterized using XRD, SEM, TEM and EDX techniques, showing increased crystallinity with higher amounts of corchorus olitorius. The use of corchorus olitorius resulted in changes in crystallite size, lattice constant, and magnetic properties of the nanocomposite.
