Charge order and superconductivity in kagome materials

Titus Neupert et al.

Summary: Superconductivity and ordered states have been observed in a family of kagome materials, with lattice geometry, topological electron behavior, and competition between ground states playing key roles in determining material properties. The compounds KV3Sb5, CsV3Sb5, and RbV3Sb5 exhibit a kagome net of vanadium atoms, showing superconductivity at low temperatures and unusual charge order at high temperatures, connecting to the underlying topological nature of the band structure. This highlights the importance of these discoveries in the context of wider research efforts in topological physics and superconductivity, while also discussing open problems in this field.

Superconductivity in doped Weyl semimetal Mo0.9Ir0.1Te2 with broken inversion symmetry

Manasi Mandal et al.

Summary: This work presents the discovery of superconductivity in Ir-doped Weyl semimetal T-d-MoTe2 with broken inversion symmetry. The observation of chiral anomaly induced planar Hall effect and anisotropic magneto-resistance confirms the topological semimetallic nature of Mo1-xIrxTe2. The weak anisotropic, moderately coupled type-II superconductivity observed in T-d-Mo1-xIrxTe2 makes it a promising candidate for topological superconductor.

Control of band structure of FeSe single crystals via biaxial strain

M. Nakajima et al.

Summary: The systematic transport measurements on FeSe single crystals with applied in-plane biaxial strain revealed that structural and superconducting transition temperatures show monotonically increasing and decreasing trends with increasing strain, indicating successful control of the band structure of single-crystalline FeSe.
