One-Step Preparation of PVDF/GO Electrospun Nanofibrous Membrane for High-Efficient Adsorption of Cr(VI)

Qingfeng Wang et al.

Summary: A new one-step strategy was developed to maximize the adhesion of graphene oxide (GO) particles to the surface of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) nanofibers, achieving efficient adsorption of heavy metal ions. The as-prepared fiber surface had a maximized GO load, with an adsorption capacity for Cr(VI) of 271 mg/g and a 99% removal rate achieved within 2 hours. After multiple adsorption-desorption tests, the adsorption removal efficiency remained above 80%.

Reduced Graphene Oxide Membranes as Potential Self-Assembling Filter for Wastewater Treatment

Saverio Latorrata et al.

Summary: The study indicates that reduced graphene oxide (rGO) filters exhibit good capture efficiency in removing metals from wastewater, showing satisfactory results in both single and multi-ion solutions. By correlating capture efficiency with ion characteristics, this method is considered promising for replacing other more expensive filtration techniques.

VIS-active TiO2 - graphene oxide composite thin films for photocatalytic applications

Ioana Tismanar et al.

Summary: This study presents a novel method for depositing VIS-active composite photocatalytic thin films based on TiO2 and GO, combining two up-scalable techniques. The effects of composite film stability, morphology, and crystallinity on photocatalytic efficiency were investigated, showing that roughness and crystallinity play key roles in determining efficiency. The thin films demonstrated good stability in aqueous pollutant environments, with no wash-out effect observed in experimental results.
