Kinetic study of CO2 hydrogenation on Ru/YSZ catalyst using a monolithic electropromoted reactor (MEPR)

Christos Chatzilias et al.

Summary: In this study, the kinetic mechanism of CO2 hydrogenation was investigated using a scaled up electropromoted reactor loaded with nine Ru/YSZ/Au electrochemical cells. The results show that the partial pressures of H2 and CO2 have a significant impact on the product distribution and reaction rate. Additionally, the experiment validates the charge transfer behavior during the electrochemical promotion process.

Adjusting Local CO Confinement in Porous-Shell Ag@Cu Catalysts for Enhancing C-C Coupling toward CO2 Eletroreduction

Yongzhi Zhong et al.

Summary: The study focused on tuning the local confinement of CO concentration within Cu shells to enhance C-C coupling over Ag@Cu core-shell catalysts, leading to increased selectivity for C2+ products during CO2 electroreduction. The catalyst with an average pore diameter of 4.9 nm exhibited the highest Faradaic efficiency for C2+ products at 300 mA cm(-2) due to the enhanced local CO concentration and linear adsorption configuration of CO intermediates facilitated by the confinement effect.

Support Effects on the Activity of Ni Catalysts for the Propane Steam Reforming Reaction

Aliki Kokka et al.

Summary: The catalytic performance of supported Ni catalysts for propane steam reforming varies with the nature of the support, with Ni/ZrO2 and Ni/YSZ showing higher activity compared to Ni/TiO2. The turnover frequency (TOF) and selectivity of the catalysts change significantly depending on the support material.
