Heated tobacco products for smoking cessation and reducing smoking prevalence

Summary: This study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of heated tobacco products (HTPs) for smoking cessation and their impact on smoking prevalence. The results showed that there is currently insufficient evidence to determine the effectiveness of HTPs for smoking cessation. However, HTP users have lower exposure to toxicants/carcinogens compared to cigarette smokers and higher exposure compared to those attempting abstinence from all tobacco.
