Error analysis of fast L1 ADI finite difference/compact difference schemes for the fractional telegraph equation in three dimensions

Leijie Qiao et al.

Summary: This article proposes fast L1 alternating direction implicit (ADI) finite difference and compact difference schemes to solve the fractional telegraph equation in three-dimensional space. By using the fast L1 formula and central difference formula for approximation, the three-dimensional problem is reduced to a series of one-dimensional problems, and the validity of the theoretical estimates is verified through numerical experiments.

Certain midpoint-type Feje acute accent r and Hermite-Hadamard inclusions involving fractional integrals with an exponential function in kernel

Thongchai Botmart et al.

Summary: Using positive symmetric functions, this paper presents two new important identities in fractional integral form for convex and harmonically convex functions. The authors then prove new variants of the Hermite-Hadamard-Fejer type inequalities for these functions through fractional integrals with an exponential kernel. Additionally, improved versions of midpoint type Hermite-Hadamard inequality are introduced. Graphical representations are used to validate the accuracy of the main results. Lastly, applications related to matrices, q-digamma functions, and modified Bessel functions are discussed.

The formally second-order BDF ADI difference/compact difference scheme for the nonlocal evolution problem inthree-dimensional space

Leijie Qiao et al.

Summary: This work introduces two alternating direction implicit (ADI) schemes for a parabolic-type three-dimensional evolution equation with a weakly singular kernel, utilizing the second-order backward differentiation formula (BDF2) and second-order convolution quadrature (CQ) technique. The stability and convergence of the ADI schemes are analyzed using the energy method. The theoretical analysis is validated through numerical examples.

High-order orthogonal spline collocation method with graded meshes for two-dimensional fractional evolution integro-differential equation

Leijie Qiao et al.

Summary: This study investigates the initial boundary value problem for a fractional evolution integro-differential equation with a weakly singular kernel originating from viscoelastic rods and membranes. Spatial approximation is done using an arbitrary-order orthogonal spline collocation method combined with the Crank-Nicolson alternating direction implicit method for time approximation, and the integral term is approximated via the product integration rule. The effectiveness of non-uniform mesh compared to uniform mesh is demonstrated when the solution is not sufficiently smooth.

Fractional Hermite-Hadamard Type Inequalities for Subadditive Functions

Muhammad Aamir Ali et al.

Summary: In this paper, various variants of fractional Hermite-Hadamard inequalities for subadditive functions are established via Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals. Additionally, some fractional integral inequalities for the product of two subadditive functions are offered using Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals. It is also shown that these inequalities are generalizations of existing inequalities for convex functions and subadditive functions.

Stability analysis of five-grade Leishmania epidemic model with harmonic mean-type incidence rate

Karim Khan et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the transmission of Anthroponotic Cutaneous Leishmania and develops a mathematical model to describe the process. The local and global stability of the model is studied under the condition R0<1 in the disease-free case. At the endemic equilibrium point, local and global stability are shown to be held under specific conditions and R0>1, with the global stability established using a geometrical approach.

Stability analysis of fractional nabla difference COVID-19 model

Aziz Khan et al.

Summary: This article investigates the existence of results and stability analysis for a nabla discrete ABC-fractional order COVID-19 model, and provides an illustrative example for its application. The study finds that the nabla discrete ABC-fractional operator is more general and applicable in modeling dynamical problems, although certain conditions are needed to ensure the proofs of existence and uniqueness theorems, as well as Hyers-Ulam stability.
